Deal Alert: IHG Ambassador Offer [Targeted]

I got an email from IHG with an ‘Exclusive Offer’ to join InterContinental Ambassador. The deal? Join by November 15th, stay once at InterContinental, Kimpton, or Regent hotels by January 31st, and get a free night. That sounds pretty suite, especially considering you can redeem 40,000 points instead of paying the $200 fee.

Those 40k points can get you a voucher for a free stay voucher worth up to 40k, that equals out. Plus you now have Ambassador status, which also comes with a free night.

I double-checked the fine print on this one, and it does say clear as day “This Reward Night is in addition to the complimentary weekend night that is already included as an InterContinental Ambassador member benefit”.

Plus, the weekend night is for any IC you book, so the 40k limit from a regular free night voucher doesn’t apply here. You can get some real bang-for-your-buck with this promotion if you stay at IC, Kimptons, or Regents.

I may find myself using this offer and taking my chances that travel becomes a regular thing again in the next year.
